Choosing the Unknown in Order to Grow

Who doesn't love cool quotes? I mean, my Pinterest Board is swimming in fun quotes. Some are serious. Some are silly. Some make me think, and some really speak to me.

This particular quote really gets to me. It seems so obvious, doesn't it?

We all have to learn things before we do them, right?

But...

This quote really implies that I am choosing to do things I don't know how to do. This is actually one of my favorite things to do and relates to my "personal why," which is a totally different blog post for a later date. I always try to put myself in situations where I have no idea how to do something, but have the opportunity to learn, sometimes even becoming an "expert" of sorts in the process.

Sweet Pea Labs is no different. There are many reasons why I started this company, but one of the driving factors was the massive amount I didn't know starting out, and the opportunity for me to learn and grow through the process. Whether that relates to parts of running a small business, running social media marketing campaigns, developing my website, or the content I'm creating - the bottom line is, I am most excited about learning, applying & sharing these new things.

Not everyone gets the opportunity to be able to tinker around with such things. I am grateful for my opportunity, and I promise I will share what I learn along the way. My list of "shares" is already getting so long!

Are you the type of person who likes to dig into things you don't know? Or would you rather stick with focusing on things you know and with which you are comfortable?
